Shrewsbury Light Orchestra
We are always pleased to welcome to the Orchestra keen, competent players of an appropriate standard. While there is no formal audition, the conductor and committee reserve the right to ask new players, where necessary, to undergo a trial period before inviting them to take part in concerts.
New players are welcome in some sections of the Orchestra. The clarinet, flute and saxophone sections are currently fully subscribed but other sections, especially percussion, strings and brass would welcome new players.
Rehearsals are held on Friday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30pm, and are normally held at The Memorial Hall, Bayston Hill subject to any changes in restrictions. Click here for a note of rehearsals for the Winter/Spring 2023 term.
The current subscription for playing members is 20 pounds per year.
